About the Design

When Buzz, Neal, and Michael stepped on board the USS Hornet they marked the first return to earth of men who had stood on a distant body. They were also given pins that said "Hornet Plus Three" describing the extra crew that now occupied the USS Hornet with their arrival.

That was 50 years ago!
